Victor Moses signed from Wigan Athletic on 24 August 2012.
The 21-year-old winger's last appearance in Wigan colours had come in Chelsea's 2-0 win at the DW Stadium the previous weekend, when he caught the eye with his strong running out wide.
The Nigerian international is a product of the Crystal Palace youth academy and made his first team debut for the south London club in late 2007.
After establishing himself with the Championship side, Moses transferred to Wigan at the end of January 2010, shortly after Palace's financial problems had forced them into adminstration, and quickly settled into life in the Barclays Premier League.
In total he played 74 league games for the Latics, following 58 for Crystal Palace.
At international level, Moses appeared for England from schoolboy up to Under 21, but has opted to represent Nigeria at senior level, and made his debut in February 2012 against Rwanda.
Moses was an unused substitute during our 4-1 UEFA Super Cup defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid in Monaco, before coming on as a second-half substitute in successive league games against Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City.
He made his first start for the club in the 6-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Capital One Cup, and capped a solid display with his first goal for the Blues, heading home to complete the scoring on the night.
A week later he was handed his European debut, starting in the 4-0 win against FC Nordsjaelland before being replaced by Eden Hazard midway through the second half.
Having impressed in the 5-4 Capital One Cup win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, Moses was handed his first league start three days later for the visit to Swansea. He appeared to have secured all three points for the Blues by giving us the lead midway through the second half with a close-range header, before the home side equalised in the closing stages.
